Covid-19 Student Committee Taskforce is an initiative led by Student Union Pro Tem Committee (SUPC) in assisting the university's policy implementation and collecting students' concerns on any issues related to announcement or guideline from University during the pandemic situation. SUPC has presented the proposal and plan of action to establish the official student committee taskforce called Covid-19 Student Committee Taskforce in the Committee for Approval and Monitoring Program (CAMP) Meeting on 5th January 2021 and meeting with IIUM Kuantan Campus Covid-19 Operation Room committee members on 6th January 2021. The proposal included the background analysis and also proposed student representation to be included in the decision-making which affects students as the major stakeholders. Both meetings which were chaired by our Deputy Campus Director for Student Development and Support Services (DCDSDSS), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Razman Mohd. Rus who is also the Director of IIUM Kuantan Campus Covid-19 Operation Room have approved the proposal for Covid-19 Student Committee Taskforce to be officially acknowledged by the campus administrations and trained with the proposed plan of actions. Among the objectives of the proposal include establishing a systematic and trained group of students in assisting the university’s policy implementation to be inclusive to the concerns of students. The welfare of students would also be the priority of this taskforce.
